Know the truth.

Ummah Films 17:18

Everyday events that Muslims experience yet with a dose of comedy. I found out about this only 2 days ago and I'm nearly done watching all the videos on youtube. ^_^

There is a message or as Ali say, "reminder", in each and every video. It might help us, Muslims, to be better by reflecting on ourselves and changing for the better.

There are lots of misconception about Islam since September 11, people are influenced by the media. Well, maybe not in Singapore but mostly in the west. Well, this video "Why Islam" will be a short introduction about Islam. Enjoy!

TED: Ideas worth spreading 09:14

Great website that showcase the "best of the best" videos- inventions, ideas, scientific marvels, miracles that are taken for granted in our daily life, actually, EVERY aspect from design to music!

Be inspired by them and make your own discoveries. ^_^

New Beginning... 04:14

Barack Obama, 44th President of the United States.

The event was extravagant. People from all walks of life gathered to witness and be a part of this history-in-the-making. I was amazed and shocked by the number of people. All of them came to support their new president and in their hearts, the glimpse of hope just got brighter.

The future is for us to shape.

Exams are OVER!!! 01:56

Although it is only the "mid-semester" exams, let me have some happiness in my life...
Finally, a short night out with a friend and a CHEESECAKE lesson from dad! (For now, I got cravings for cheesecake and pasta... ^_^ and it is too early to feed my stomach).

Today is "HARI RAYA HAJI!!!"

To all muslims around the world,

Celebrate this great day, be grateful for everything that has been given to you and give thanks to Allah S.A.W.

John Pilger 16:49

John Pilger - "War on Democracy", it was the first video/film I watched on google videos. Very heart-warming. Never underestimate the power of ordinary people. Gather together and never be oppressed.

U.S.A., United States of America. It made me wonder why they are in power? I should re-phrase that... why should they be regarded as in power? Who are they to be involved in others' (other countries') politics?

It is the same as what that is happening to Iraq. "War on Iraq", that is always the phrase that I heard on television networks from the U.S. (e.g. CNN). Is it also for they personal gain? Natural resources?

There are many films that John made that can easily be found on the net. Watch it. Let it open your mind to the happenings around the world, no matter past or present.

Bloggie... 21:55

Witnessed a firework display that was from our neighbouring country, Malaysia in the city of Johor!! (I was as excited as a child... hehe... ) Able to watch it for about 3 minutes, a short period but hey, it's pretty! Can't really see the full display but just the top portion, I guess about one-third of it. Since it is across the border, the noise level or "bang" does not distract me from the pretty colors and the formations of the fireworks. It just brightens the darkness in the sky for that few minutes.

By the way, I was wondering… What's the celebration in Johor today???
[There must be a reason for the fireworks, right?]

Went to school today thinking I could buy the textbook needed. Too bad the popular bookstore there was closed!!! My 1-minute research of the opening hours was in vain… They should type it in the website to inform people like me about it. Found out that the foodcourt where the KFC and Pizza Hut is already renovated!! Nice! Air-conditioned and brighter! Stuffy no more! Haha…

Because of the renovation, the bookstore was closed from 20+ august to 13 October… rather a long time don't you think?? It is worth-while considering I am able to enjoy it during my last semester in school!!! Muhahahaha.... ^_^
