A trusted news source. Their analysis of certain major issues are impressive. I am currently hooked on a documentary titled "Hard Earned". The disparity between the rich and the poor is clear. The American dream is getting harder to reach. Everyone is working their butts off but not everyone gets the opportunity to succeed. It is an upsetting truth. It also highlights the importance of a union and government to protect the citizens.
Human resource is the main asset of any country. Workers should be treated humanely and justly. This includes the pay and the working environment. I believe all companies overheads know this. If they want the best employees, they will have to treat them better. Unions are suppose to be there to facilitate this. Giving a voice to the workers is not a bad thing. It allows companies to have a better understanding of their workers' concerns and possibly solve them within the company.
It only becomes a problem when companies ignore these complains and sometimes silently eliminate these voices by illegally firing them. The ideal situation would be a calm meeting of union representatives and company leaders, in which both are listening to each other with the ultimate goal of finding a middle ground. However, with a passionate cause, people get easily heated up. Finding the right cool-headed and logical people to represent the workers or the company might be a challenge.
